These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Angkor Audio Tour mobile application ("App"), owned and operated by Dr Dougald O'Reilly ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App provides audio narration, interactive maps, and informational content for visitors to the temples of Angkor, Cambodia. A limited number of audio stops are available free of charge. Full access to all content requires an active subscription.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers an auto-renewable annual subscription:
• Title: Full Tour (Annual)
• Length: 1 year, auto-renewing
• Price: As displayed in the App at the time of purchase (set via the App Store or Google Play)
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews each year at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
• iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play > Subscriptions
No refunds will be granted for any unused portion of a subscription period. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google, as applicable.
4. Free Content
The first 9 stops of the Angkor Wat tour are available at no cost. No subscription is required to access this content.
5. Partner and Promotional Codes
From time to time, promotional codes may be distributed through partner hotels or other channels. These codes are subject to expiry dates and usage limits. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue promotional offers at any time.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including audio narration, text, maps, images, and design — is the property of Dr Dougald O'Reilly or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content in the App without prior written consent.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or payment systems
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Redistribute any audio or content from the App
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times. Audio content is intended as a general guide and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information when visiting the temples.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your most recent subscription period.
10. Heritage Preservation
A portion of proceeds from subscriptions and partner programmes supports heritage preservation activities in Cambodia through Heritage Watch (heritagewatchinternational.org). Partner hotels and organisations that distribute promotional codes are not liable for the App or its content.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
